As a Project Architect on the Bibb team, you will partner directly with Engineering Project Managers to ensure the design excellence, financial health of the project, the quality of project documents, team collaboration and communication. Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions. The position is seen as a growth opportunity!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Setting the overall strategy for producing the documents and identifies the sheets planned for each stage of the work.

  • Responsible for communication with other disciplines (internal and external as needed), vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of required information into project requirements and provides support as necessary.

  • Ensuring that construction detail documentation conforms to quality assurance, quality control and best practice standards.

  • Supervising preparation of technical drawings by other less senior level architects or technicians.

  • Performing as team leader/Manager on certain projects.

  • Mentoring and directing the work of less experienced staff, participates in professional development reviews, and 'Lessons Learned' sessions.

  • Attending on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings. Preparing and coordinating the review of contractor's schedules, RFI’s, submission of shop drawings and samples and preparation of Meeting Minutes.

  • Assist in the development of project Specifications, product research, consulting with manufacturers, evaluating and selecting project related materials.

  • Participate in review of project costs and budgets, adherence to schedule.

  • Preparing 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings and models for client/project team Revit.

 

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Architect with current registration is required

  • NCARB registration preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with leading the architectural discipline for projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.

  • Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.

  • Knowledge of design principles and the ability to interpret design concepts and layouts, including commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the profession is required.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of building codes, Life Safety codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents.

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans, drawings, and models required.

  • Proven ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients preferred.

  • Proficiency in Revit required.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software a plus.
